Trigger: The Ripple Effect of Gun Violence is an excellent educational tool with the ability to start conversations around a topic that is often overwhelmingly polarized. Hundreds of organizations and churches have already used the film to engage their communities on the issue. In select cities across the United States, the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has partnered with local planning teams to promote large, community-oriented screenings.
If you would like to hold a large, community-oriented screening, we would love to partner with you! Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Featured Screenings involve guiding audiences through a time of discussion following the film as a way of debriefing and processing what they have learned. We recommend inviting local leaders (clergy, local government leaders, school officials, local law enforcement, community organizers, etc.) to participate in a panel discussion, sharing their perspective on gun violence as it affects their lines of work and strategies for community engagement. Aside from their expertise, notable panelists can bring attention to screening, often attracting local media.
